Health entry 4, week 1 day 4

Long term Goal:My goal not eat any unhealthy foods or takeaways with lots of fats eg mcdonalds, chips and lollies instead I will eat meals with healthy ingredients like more vegetables and less dressing and instead of potato chips as a snack, I will eat a piece of fruit which will both fill my gap and add to my 5+ aday

In the morning I had jam on toast with no butter and a chocolate milk. Morning tea I had chips and chocolate cupcakes because it was my birthday. At lunch I had an up and go and a piece of chocolate cake. I didn’t have any morning tea. And for dinner I had McDonalds a grilled chicken burger with Mayo, tomato and lettuce.

Since it was my birthday my friends brought cake and cupcakes and my mum took me to McDonalds.”

Identify how did you try to overcome these barriers? How could you prevent this in the future? I could of had a boring healthy birthday and told my friends not to bring me anything.

Summary: today wasn’t a very good day as I had lots of confectionary treats and fatty foods but since it was my birthday I wasn’t to worried as I didn’t want to be rude and decline the cake and cupcakes my friends made me.

I ate healthy the whole day, I had Wholemeal toast with jam and butter and a chocolate milk for breakfast but I shouldn’t of had butter. For morning tea I had orange and almond nuts. For lunch I had a chicken and salad sandwich and a healthy strawberry smoothie drink. For dinner I had crumbed chicken, salad and hot chips which wasn’t that healthy but it tasted good.

Got mum to pack me a healthy lunch so then I wouldn’t ruin it”

My friends ate unhealthy things around me so it teased me”

Well I am happy that I have eaten healthy and managed to not cheat through my goal I am just disappointed that I had hot chips I just couldn’t help myself they just taste so good

I tried to eat healthy at morning tea and lunch, but I have tutoring after and it was two days before my birthday so she got me kfc which did not help my goal, we also made a Caesar salad in catering which consisted of mesculin, chicken, bacon, and boiled egg it had a dressing with lots of olive oil so I didn’t put much of that on which helped me with my goal. I had no dinner tonight as I was full.

My tutor didn’t know that I had a goal to she got me kfc.

I for the salad I didn’t put much dressing on it as it had loads or olive oil in it

No because the kfc had ruined it as I had gone the whole day without any fatty foods, but I had the kfc because it was a pre birthday treat and I didn’t want to be rude and decline.

I forgot that my challenge was starting today so it didn’t go so well, but I didn’t eat much unhealthy foods. I did have stir-fry with vegetables for dinner which would help me to achieve my goal.

My mum helped as she was the one who cooked dinner and gave me a healthy lunch to take to school.”

I got temptations as my friends were eating unhealthy foods and I wanted to eat unhealthy.”

“Identify how did you try to overcome these barriers? How could you prevent this in the future? I could ask my friends to not eat the unhealthy foods around me as I will get tempted. ”

Being that my mother helped me as she gave me a healthy lunch which was great but I went into a downward spiral as my friends were tempting me as they had unhealthy food at lunch when I had healthy food but it got better as my mum gave me a nice, yummy healthy dinner. This meant that my mum is an enabler where as my friends are barriers.
